If you are looking for assistance and advice surrounding a writing project you’re embarking upon, or want help formulating an application for a major arts grant funding or residency opportunity, this service is for you! This package not only includes a one-hour creative mentoring session, designed to help you discuss and troubleshoot issues you might be facing in your creative practice, formulate concrete ideas for major new projects and ventures, or prepare portfolios for art school applications or professional creative opportunities, but also offers you the opportunity to tap into my skills as a writer, editor, and script supervisor as well.

Throughout my career so far, I have written, edited, and peer-reviewed everything from arts grant funding and creative development programme applications, to academic journal papers and symposium presentations, to independently produced scripts for both stage and screen. Deploying meticulously honed skills as a creative mentor and peer-reviewer, over the last two years I have helped multiple emerging artists within my own friendship networks — including playwrights, filmmakers, visual artists, curators, and creative researchers — secure DYCP funding from Arts Council England. Similarly, I have helped academic researchers prepare social science papers for panel presentations, and provided script development and editing services to screenwriters preparing to submit their work for BFI funding applications.

In order to raise funds for the development and realisation of my current long-term creative research project The Giantess Speaks — which will include, over the coming four years to 2028, a novel, a non-fiction book documenting my academic research process, and a one-woman show — I am publicly offering out my services as a writing mentor and reviewer for the first time. Alongside offering a one-on-one creative mentoring session on Zoom with this package deal, to discuss your work with you face-to-face, I will read a book chapter, script extract, essay, article, arts funding/residency application, or short story you have drafted and provide comprehensive feedback on it. Although I do not provide full copy-editing services, I am also willing to suggest or provide minor edits to cut your written work down to fit specific word count requirements for submissions.

The £90 cost listed below includes a one-hour Zoom mentoring session worth £60, plus review of a body of text up to 2,000 words. For larger bodies of text, I charge an extra £13.50 per 1,000 words up to 5,000 words, and an extra £12.50 per 1,000 words between 5,000 and a maximum of 10,000 words.
